“I’m so happy I added this tour to my trip. It was so nice having someone explain not only the background of the temples we visited but also answer my questions about Buddhism, symbols and all their meanings. Eri was a great guide and so helpful with recommending places to go and see after the tour. She was so knowledgeable and showed a true passion for the topics she shared. Not to mention her amazing photography skills and capturing some great memories on tour. Thank you!”

From Osaka/Kyoto: Kyoto & Nara Day Trip with Optional Lunch - Arashiyama Bamboo Forest: beautiful, brief, and busy

7.From Osaka/Kyoto: Kyoto & Nara Day Trip with Optional Lunch

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · from $68

Review of a Kyoto and Nara day trip from Osaka or Kyoto, covering Arashiyama, Nara Park, Fushimi Inari, lunch, timing, and value.

“Bus was about 30+mins late arriving for the pickup in Kyoto. The time allowed at each destination was shorter than stated ( except lunch) and the bus drop off at the destination was so far away that at least 15min of the allocated time ( usually 50min) needed to be walked before the destination was reached. No time was allowed to explore, to buy refreshments or souvenirs. Being that the temperature was 35c-38c, no allowance was made I was unable to visit at least 2 of the key sites given the heat and not enough time was allowed so had to wait instead of participating.”

Kyoto: Lunch or Dinner with Maiko - The opening tea ceremony

9.Kyoto: Lunch or Dinner with Maiko

★★★★★★★★★★4.2 · 1h 30m · from $63

Meet a Kyoto Maiko over traditional dinner, tea ceremony, dances, games, questions, and photos in a 90-minute cultural program.

“Nous avons préféré la partie spectacle et jeux. Nous avons moins apprécié le mélange de groupes différents en simultané (repas et préparation de thé pour certains). Le repas n'était pas vraiment à notre goût et ne sentait pas grand chose, mais typique. Pour finir manque de décors (pas de paravent). Globalement satisfait quand même.”
